Auto Transport Terms & Conditions

Read the terms governing Parallel 29’s auto freight brokerage services and your responsibilities when arranging vehicle transportation.

Last updated: February 17, 2026

These Auto Transport Terms & Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern the services provided by Parallel 29 (“Parallel 29,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) as an auto transport broker. By requesting a quote, placing an order, or using our services, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by this Agreement.

If you do not agree, do not use Parallel 29’s services.

Broker Only: Parallel 29 is a vehicle transport broker, not a motor carrier. We arrange transportation with independent, FMCSA-registered carriers (“Carrier” or “Carriers”) but do not own or operate trucks and do not transport vehicles ourselves.

1. Services

1.1 Brokerage role

Parallel 29’s service is to identify and contract with a Carrier to arrange transportation of your vehicle(s). Our services are considered rendered once a Carrier is assigned and Carrier information is provided to you.

1.2 No possession of vehicles

Parallel 29 never takes physical possession of your vehicle. All loading, transport, and unloading are performed by independent Carriers.

1.3 Geographic scope

Unless otherwise specified, services apply to over-the-road vehicle transport within the contiguous United States.

2. Quotes, pricing, and payment

2.1 Non-binding quotes

All quotes are estimates based on the information you provide, current market conditions, and equipment availability. Quotes may change if shipment details or market conditions change before dispatch.

2.2 Rate changes

If the Carrier requires a higher rate due to conditions beyond our control, we will notify you. You may accept the revised rate or cancel prior to dispatch. Cancellation fees may apply after Carrier assignment.

2.3 Deposits and balances

  • A brokerage fee or deposit may be charged when assigned.
  • Remaining balance is typically due to the Carrier at delivery.
  • Failure to pay may result in storage or additional charges.

2.4 Cancellations and refunds

Deposits may be refundable before Carrier assignment. After assignment or dispatch, cancellation fees may apply.

3. Customer responsibilities

3.1 Accurate information

You must provide accurate and complete information regarding your vehicle and shipment. Misrepresentation may result in additional fees, delays, or cancellation.

3.2 Vehicle condition

  • Vehicles must be operable unless disclosed.
  • Able to load/unload safely.
  • Free of major leaks or loose parts.

Inoperable vehicles or special requirements must be disclosed in advance and may incur additional fees.

3.3 Personal items

Carriers are not licensed to transport household goods. Personal items left in vehicles are transported at your own risk.

3.4 Preparation of vehicle

  • Remove valuables and loose items.
  • Secure aftermarket accessories.
  • Fuel should be approximately 1/4 tank.
  • Provide keys and alarm instructions.

3.5 Access and safe locations

You must provide safe and legal pickup and delivery locations. If necessary, you agree to meet the Carrier at a nearby accessible location.

3.6 Presence at pickup and delivery

You or your agent must be present to inspect and sign the bill of lading at pickup and delivery.

4. Pickup, delivery, and timing

4.1 Door-to-door service

Carriers aim to provide door-to-door service where safely possible.

4.2 Estimated dates only

Pickup and delivery dates are estimates only. Parallel 29 and the Carrier are not liable for delays.

4.3 Scheduling windows

Carriers provide pickup and delivery windows rather than exact times.

5. Inspection, damage, and claims

5.1 Pre- and post-transport inspection

Vehicle condition must be documented at pickup and inspected again at delivery.

5.2 Noting damage at delivery

Any alleged new damage must be documented on the bill of lading before signing and reported promptly.

5.3 Carrier responsibility and insurance

Claims for loss or damage are between you and the Carrier. Parallel 29 may assist but is not responsible for Carrier actions or insurance outcomes.

5.4 Mechanical issues

Carriers are not responsible for mechanical failures or pre-existing conditions.

6. Limitation of liability

Parallel 29 is not liable for Carrier acts, vehicle damage, personal property loss, or indirect damages. Any liability shall not exceed the brokerage fee paid for the shipment.

7. Website use, content, and IP

Site content is for informational purposes only and is protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Communications & consent

By providing contact details, you consent to receive service-related communications. Marketing messages may be opted out at any time.

9. Governing law and venue

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Legal proceedings shall be brought in Texas courts unless otherwise required by law.

10. Changes to these Terms & Conditions

Updated versions will be posted with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance.

11. Entire agreement and severability

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between you and Parallel 29. If any provision is held invalid, remaining provisions remain enforceable.
